God’s word is of utmost importance to a believer. It is our main source of wisdom, guidance, and knowledge. It gives us understanding the character of God, what His will is for our lives, and how to live out our faith on a daily basis. It’s the means of transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Studying Scripture isn’t about perfection—it’s about faithfulness and rightly understanding God’s truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 says: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
There are more benefits to studying the Bible as well, God promises success and strength when we continually reflect on His Word. Joshua 1:8:“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful .”
These Bible study methods are meant to help us grab truths to understand, meditate on, pray through, and put into action so that we will be “approved not ashamed” and “prosperous and successful.”
