The MOST visited post on the blog is the Ultimate List of Free Devotions for Youth. These devos specifically target preteens and teens. There are some really good ones. But, I thought that it might be nice for families to have one big list of free devotions that are for the whole family and then add some for the younger kids who can read and study themselves.

I have scoured the web and my own personal resource list to put together this big list for you. I hope that you find many devotions that your family can use to grow and be encouraged in your faith. Why Devotions are Useful for Kids and Families

Preparation is the key to success when it comes to habits. It’s so much easier to follow a plan when it. comes to Bible study and reading so that even for a busy family, it’s easily accessible. Not only this, but kids thrive on routine and schedules so having a daily devotional that utilizes scripture, explanation, thought questions, and prayer gives them a great pattern to imitate.

Plus, its a useful tool to find the right kind of devotion that works for your family. Some are longer, some are shorter. There are some that are only Bible reading and questions. Some give an application or object lesson to go alongside. You will have the opportunity find what keeps younger kids attention but also works to challenge the older kids. Ultimately, its about what grows your family closer to the Lord.

Free Devotions for Kids

This first list is devotions that are suitable for all kids ages 4-12. The following lists I will divide into some specifically for boys and some for girls.

• Keys for Kids Daily Devotions– These are cool because they also have the option for audio so it can be read to you and an app you can download.
• Ministry to Children Printable Devotions-If you have been around any amount of time, you know I love all the free resources from Ministry to Children. These devotions are great if you prefer a paper copy.
• Kids Corner Devotionals– These maybe more suited to younger kids as they are shorter and have comic graphics along with them. They also have some great related resources such as videos and activities.
• YouVersion Guardians Of Ancora Bible Plan– These plans can be read online or in the app. There are probably over 200 free devotions here as each topic covers 3-5 days. Again, these are probably suited for children under 10.
• Answers in Genesis Kid’s Answers Devotions-I like these because they encourage kids to dig into the Bible for themselves to find answers to questions. Also, bonus, there are family devos on this list too.
• Real Life Downloaded Upper Elementary Bible Lessons-Topic lessons for every day life.

Free Devotions for Girls

These devotions are geared for girls ages 8-12. They are tailored to the heart and mind of a tween.

• True Beauty Begins in the Heart– A 30 day devotional from YouVersion for tween girls.
• The Girl to Girl 7-Day Devotional: A Mother-Daughter Devotional– Great resource from Stacey Pardoe. Also, check out her devo she shared here: Mother Daughter Devotional for Growing Your Faith Together

Free Devotions for Boys

These are most suitable for boys ages 8-12 although some maybe used for older tween boys too.

• Choose Your Own Adventure Bible Reading Plan-Free download from More Like Grace.

Free Devotions for Families
