Do you desire to pray for your daughter every single day? The need for seeking God’s face in prayers for your daughter cannot be overemphasized.
The world we currently live in is filled with so much fear, insecurity and uncertainty. And the girl child is often at risk especially with issues such as their emotional stability, mental health and gender discrimination. We cannot be with and protect our daughters in every season and phase of their lives. But we can cover them in prayer and entrust their lives to God every single day.
Prayers From The Word of God For Your Daughter
For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow . Hebrews 4:12 KJV
God’s word can be trusted in every season of life. Whether as new born baby girls, preschoolers, teenagers or young adults, we can trust in the power of God’s word each time we pray for our daughters.
God’s word is alive and will keep working in the hearts of our daughters to produce the desired result in their lives.
God’s word is able to reach the deepest parts of our daughter’s hearts. His words can touch their souls and work wonders even when our own words seem to fail as mothers.
God’s word can deliver and keep our daughters safe from trouble especially as they find their own paths in life.
Finally, God’s word can heal our daughters from every fear, pain and weakness when we commit them daily into God’s hands.
Praying Daily For Our Daughters
Prayer is an intimate and great way to communicate with God. In moments of prayer, you can pour out your heart to God about your desire and concerns for your daughter. God wants you to make praying for your daughter a daily part of your life.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
The word of God also tells us to pray continually. As you commit to praying daily for your daughter, God’s presence will surround her and the Holy Spirit will continue to work in and through her. I have put together a week of prayers alongside scriptures that you can pray over your daughter. I pray that as you pray this week long prayers over your daughter – God will heal, deliver, strengthen and keep your daughter every single day of her life.
A Week of Prayers for Your Daughter
Day 1 : Prayers for Your Daughter: Her Identity
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12 ESV
Lord, I pray for my daughter that she will stand in her rightful place and role as the daughter of the most High God. I declare that she will not be confused about who she is in Christ Jesus. She is fully aware of her rights and privileges as a daughter of God’s kingdom. My daughter is forever secure in her identity as a child of God. Amen!
Day 2 : Her Emotions
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives…to comfort all that mourn…to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…” ~Isaiah 61:-13
Dear God, I thank you for coming to set the captives free and binding the broken hearted. I ask that you take away the ashes of pain, discouragement, grief that threatens to keep my daughter down emotionally.
Next, I ask that you heal my daughter from every negative emotion that wants to hold her captive. I pray that you fill her emotional tank with the oil of your joy.
Take away the spirit of heaviness and give her the garment of praise. I ask that you fill her soul with your everlasting love. May anger, bitterness and unforgiveness have no root in her soul. I declare that my daughter is joyful, forgiving and loving. Amen!
Day 3 : Her Body
“Don’t be concerned with the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” 1 Peter 3:3-4
“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works; and that my soul knows very well.” Psalm 139:13-14
Dear God, help my daughter not to be caught in the comparison trap that is rooted in today’s world. Open her eyes to see how wonderful and beautiful her body is.
May she learn to love and appreciate every part of her body knowing that her uniqueness is rooted in you. I pray that her true beauty will always radiate from within her and that she will walk through life appreciating her uniqueness and loving the body that you have given her. Amen!
Day 4 : Her Protection
“The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” Psalm 121:7-8
“My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” 2 Samuel 22:3-4.
Dear God, thank you for being a shield of protection over my daughter. She will always find shelter and safety under your wings. I ask that you keep her from all evil and save her from every form of violent attack.
May your angels watch over her every single day. Protect her from accidents, crime and the mistakes of others. She will never be a victim of another man’s errors. I pray that you frustrate every evil plan against the life of my daughter. Hide her daily in the shadow of your wings and cover her in the safety of your presence. Amen!
Day 5 : Her Health
“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” 3 John 1:2
Lord, I ask that you keep my daughter in perfect health all the days of her life. May she always remember that her body is your dwelling place and treat it right all the time. Help her to release unhealthy habits and practices about her body to you. Give her the wisdom to care for her body.
I ask that you strengthen her at all times and heal her of every pain and affliction of her body. May you arise with healing in your wings and make her whole again. Amen!
Day 6 : Her Gifts & Talents
“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another.” – 1 Peter 4:10
Lord, I thank you for the gifts and talents that you have given my daughter. I pray that she becomes fully aware of her God given gifts even from a young age. I pray that she will nurture and steward these gifts and use them for your glory.
Help her to see the way that you have uniquely gifted her to serve your kingdom. I pray that she will not covet the gifts of others but that she will thrive and flourish with the gifts that you have given her. May her eyes always be open to see opportunities to use her gift, abilities and talents to bless others. Amen!
Day 7 : Her Future
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
“ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8
Lord, I thank you for being a guide for my daughter as she navigates her path in this world. Thank you for giving her a great future filled with hope and possibilities. I trust in the good plans that you have for her life.
I ask that you lead her in the way that you desire her to go in life. Last, I pray that she will never be afraid for her future, but she will always learn to trust in you as her good shepherd. Lead her and guide her into the beautiful and fruitful future you have prepared for her. Amen!
