Short Prayers for Mothers to Start Your Day
Giving our day to God before we start the crazy, busy morning, is so vital. Also, being sure that we recognize that we are His children, His servant, and meant to do His will keeps us focused on Jesus and not ourselves. Here are some short prayers that you can say to get the day start off right.
Lord, I praise you that you have given me another day to serve you. Thank you that I have the privilege of raising these children to know and love you. Help me today to focus on you first and to pray without ceasing. Give us peace and joy in this home. I love you, Jesus. Amen.
Good morning, God, at the start of this new day, help me to recognize you above all else. Open my eyes to see you, and notice how you’re at work in my life. Give me wisdom to make the best choices, and to use my mouth to speak words of life to my children and others. Thank you that you are greater than anything I might face today. Give me grace and mercy to do your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Praying Over Your Children
As godly mothers, we want to raise our children to love and serve Jesus. We can pray these things for them daily. If we are praying for it, we are focused on it and we are open to God using us to show them how. Praying for our children changes our hearts as much as it does theirs.

They are short prayers that we mothers can pray often over our kids.
31 Days Of Praying for Our Children
For Their Salvation and Spiritual Growth
Heavenly Father, thank you for entrusting these precious children into our care. We know you have given this responsibility to train them up in your ways so help us to teach them up to know your plan of salvation. We stand on the promise of scripture that you do not wish for any to perish but for all to be saved. We pray that our kids will be convicted of their sin and ask Jesus to rule their lives. May they call upon your name to be saved and grow in faith and love of you. Amen.
For Their Protection
Gracious Lord, I ask that you would put your hand of protection over my children. I pray that you would keep them from serious harm and danger when they are not in my care. I ask that you would protect their minds from worldly violence and pornography that might damage them at a young age. Lord, please guard their hearts that they will not believe the lies from the enemy or stray from your commands. Please put your hedge of protection around them. Amen.
For Their Emotional Needs
Dear God, you comfort your children so many times in scripture and tell us, “do not fear” and that “perfect love casts out fear”. We pray that you will give our children security in you so they will not fear circumstances, failure, or the future. Give them peace and assurance when they are anxious or worried. Help us to show them an example and teach them your way to deal with anger, hurt, and sadness. Jesus you know our every weakness, strengthen them by your grace. Amen.

Scriptures and Prayers for Before Bed
I am a firm believer that reviewing our days and giving thanks to God for His protection and blessings is the only way to end the day. As I lay in my bed each night, I mentally walk through my day and give appreciation to the Lord for every good and perfect gift and for His guidance. Finally, I ask for His rest, peace, and protection for my household. This is for mind, body, and Spirit.
Scriptures to Focus on Before Bed
- Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 NIV
- Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. John 1:17 NIV
- In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves. Psalm 127:2 NIV
- Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4 NIV
