Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever!!
We know that the Bible claims we get the final victory in the end. But sometimes, we need some inspiration to hold on to now while we wait in a dark and depressing world.
These Bible verses are meant to encourage and inspire us as we meditate on them. The will also cause us to have gratitude and to worship and rejoice at what God has done for us.
They are meant to be kept to ourselves though. Others need reminders about the victory they can have in Jesus. So, share away and pray that God breaks chains, heals hurts, and mends brokeness through His word!

What is the Victory we have in Jesus?
The first victory we have in Jesus is salvation. That is that through Him, we have victory over death and sin. We are no longer slaves to this world. We are free!
The ongoing victory we have in Christ is that the enemy cannot snatch us out of His hand. We have the power through our faith to overcome addictions, trials, and the desires of the flesh.
We also have the obligation to share this victory with others so that they too may experience the hope and joy of salvation and the eternal rewards of heaven.
The final victory is that though our mortal bodies die, we will be resurrected into a new glorious body and we will inherit an eternal heavenly home where the Lord resides.

- The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord. Proverbs 21:31
- “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 NIV
- For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. I John 5:4-5 NIV

Jesus speaks in Revelation about the one who is victorious in Him and all they have to look forward to in eternity. May these verses comfort and give us perspective.
- The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. Revelation 3:5 NIV
- The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. Revelation 3:12 NIV
- To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Revelation 3:21 NIV
- Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. Revelation 21:7 NIV
I’m closing the scripture list with Psalm 20. It is a song of King David. The prayer at the beginning if for God to grant him favor and victory in battle. The second part is a declaration of faith that God will give the victory.
It is a Psalm that I have held on to during many spiritual battles I have faced. I have prayed verses 1-5 to God and in faith claimed the victory and trust in God from verses 6-9. I pray it encourages you as well.
May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings.
May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the Lord grant all your requests.
Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
Lord, give victory to the king!
Answer us when we call! -Psalm 20 NIV
